frequently asked questions
Does insurance cover your appointments?
- If you see me as a surgical oncologist, yes.
- IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapy and coaching is not covered by insurance.
What types of patients do you normally see?
As a surgical oncologist, patients with breast disease and cancer as well as patients who are high risk for breast cancer.
What is coaching or life coaching?
- I trained at The Coaches Training Institute and I wholeheartedly believe in their response: "CTI coaching holds that people are naturally creative, resourceful and whole - completely capable of finding their own answers to whatever challenges they face. The job of a Co-Active Coach® is to ask powerful questions, listen and empower to elicit the skills and creativity a client already possesses, rather than instruct or advise."
- Coaching allows people to live life in accordance with their values.
- Coaching is currently done online in two to three 50 minute sessions per month.
What is the difference between coaching and IFS therapy?
Coaching is based on your present life and getting to the future that you want. IFS therapy is about healing the past to be more comfortable in the present and operating from a calm, clear, connected sense of your Self. I have professional training in coaching and IFS therapy.
Where will we meet?
- Breast patients I will meet at my office at 123 Summer St, Suite, 210 South in Worcester, MA.
- IFS therapy and coaching clients will meet with me on Zoom.
How long are sessions?
- Breast cancer patients are usually seen for 1 -1.5 hours.
- IFS therapy and coaching clients enjoy 50 minute sessions.
Can you write prescriptions?
